Govt has divided post 2006
retirees into two Categories viz

This division is primarily due to
dispensation of minimum 33 years of service for full pension (50% of average reckonable pay) only for post 02 Sep 08 retirees. For pre-02 Sep 08 retirees , old rules are still applicable i.e Pension is based on years of service + weightage with Maximum 33 years.
