Family Pension

          Pre 2006

• Enhanced Rate of Family Pension for first seven years after death or the pensioner attaining 67 years of age whichever is earlier.
• After seven years normal rate of Family Pension is payable. 
• Existing enhanced /normal rate of pension will be revised by the consolidation formula (Enhanced / Normal Rate of Pension + DP ) * 24 % of Enhanced / Normal Rate of Pension + 40 % of Enhanced / Normal Pension
• However, Family Pension so consolidated should not be less than 30 % of the sum of minimum of the Pay Band + GP + MSP

Enhanced Rate of Family Pension on death of a person in harness    

Family Pension is allowed at enhanced rate ( 50% of emoluments ) for the first ten years after death. This is applicable for all pensioners who retired after 01 Jan 2006.  On completion of ten years Normal family pension will be admissible.
