ABOUT US………………

Sankalp (V) is the first of its kind in the Indian Navy , established in 1990 .The school has a current strength of 38 children , a few of them belonging to the Home Management group .Our regular children i.e., those who come to school everyday , are grouped according to their ability and age into CARE , PRE-PRIMARY , PRIMARY SECONDARY and PREVOCATIONAL groups. Each group is trained by a qualified Special Educator and helped by an Assistant Teacher and provided with a helper staff if required.. The ratio per group is a healthy 1:6 i.e.,01 Special Educator for 06 children( except in exceptional circumstances).

The school has a well equipped Computer Laboratory ( including use of appropriate software and Internet ),a full fledged Therapeutic Section which includes a Physiotherapy , Speech and Occupational Therapy Departments.

The Recreation room houses the TV , Music System and DVD and serves as a dining room , where the children have their mid-day snack.. The Shop and Home Management Skills room , serve as a simulated set-ups for various aspects of training. The Playground and well maintained lawns , including the recently developed vegetable garden are our pride.

The activities at Sankalp are diverse. We endeavor to impart holistic training and treatment to the children and support on various fronts to the parents through its multidimensional management approach.

Our motto of “Together , we can!” is not just a motto , but the driving force behind the team of Sankalp.

1.The school is located in Nausena Baugh (opposite Kendriya Vidyalaya 1).

2.The school functions from 0900 hours to 1300 hours from Monday to Friday .

3.The academic year of the center commences in the last week of June / first week of July ( NCS KG )and ends in the third week / Last week of April .

Term duration :

July-September : First term

October –January: Second term

February– April : Third term

4.Uniform

a) Monday , Tuesday , Thursday and Friday

Girls: Navy blue skirt and white shirt or Navy blue kurta with white salwar .

Boys : Navy blue shorts or trousers with white shirt.

Both have to wear Navy blue socks and Black shoes

b)Wednesday

Girls: White skirt and white shirt or White kurta with white salwar .

Boys : White shorts or trousers with white shirt.

Both have to wear white socks and white shoes.

All holidays are as per NCS ( KG ) , Visakhapatnam
