Originated as an informal group of Ladies in 1948 for rendering assistance to the Naval Families.

Registered as “Naval Officer’s WIVES association” in Jan 1967.

Rechristened as WIVES WELFARE ASSOCIATION” in Feb 1986.

NWWA Role - Comprehensive Community Welfare and Development with programs covering all aspects of community needs through its Kendra’s in all major Naval Stations.

To keep the WIVES of all Naval Personnel in touch with one another for their mutual help and benefit.
