     NWWA - A Road to Success

  

      NWWA Historical Background

  • Originated as an informal group of Ladies in 1948 for rendering assistance to the Naval Families.

  • Registered as “Naval Officer’s WIVES association” in Jan 1967.

  • Rechristened as WIVES WELFARE ASSOCIATION” in Feb 1986.

  • NWWA Role - Comprehensive Community Welfare and Development with programs covering all aspects of community needs through its Kendra’s in all major Naval Stations.

      Aim Of NWWA

  • To keep the WIVES of all Naval Personnel in touch with one another for their mutual help and benefit.

  • To carry on developmental programs in times of peace.

  • Provide comfort and all possible help in times of war

  • Rehabilitation of widows and families of deceased Naval Personnel.

  • Facilitate development of academic and vocational skills.

  • Management of programs for differently able, adult literacy, health care, community development & environment

  • Assistance to people affected by Natural Disasters
