ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FROM
DGR FOR OFFICERS DETAILED
FOR 24 WEEK MANAGEMENT COURSES
1. In consultation with all Management Institutes conducting mgt programmes for
retired/retiring officers, it has been decided that, henceforth, all Institutes
will assess the suitability of all student officers through a Questionnaire /
Profiling before commencement of the course and / or through Tests / Quizzes /
Group Discussions / Interviews etc, within about 10 days of commencement of
course, and reject those officers who do not possess the skills / aptitude
required for the grilling 24 week programme. The Institutes will also reserve
the right to route back defaulting officers any time during the programme for
misconduct / frequent absenteeism from classes, and not award the Certificate,
as also deny placement opportunities, to those who fail to meet the prescribed
standards of performance and / or attendance.
2. Officers routed back after more than 10 days after commencement of the course
will also forego a portion of their 40 % share of course fee, either on a
pro-rata basis depending upon the duration of stay in the Institute, or as
decided by the respective Institute, and the amount so deducted shall be
retained by the concerned institute. It may also be noted that seats in these
institutes are limited and the DGR can ill afford to waste these precious
vacancies. Hence, officers who fail to report for the course after being
detailed, without informing DGR and without assigning adequate reason, will also
forfeit their security deposit of Rs 10,000/-.
